Mr. Mek, The Shoe Pimp

Mr. Mek is a shoe fan. A Nike shoe fan. If I'm a shoe whore, then he's a shoe pimp.
Mr. Mek can be very picky when it comes to his shoes and clothes. Which made picking out an outfit for him to wear on our wedding day very difficult, but in the end you can definitely see his style in his "groom wear". I suggested that he rock some nice loafers like Mr. Sea Breeze, but he wasn't having it (I tried). Nope, he went the Nike sneaks route and who am I to tell him what to wear? It's not like he had the option of picking out my shoes. So, we went the custom route and he "designed" his own wedding shoes.

The whole process is actually pretty easy. You just pick the shoe style you want, then you can click on certain parts of the shoe and change the color. You can even personalize the shoe with your name or slogan, if you like. Orders take up to 4 weeks for delivery; Mr. Mek got his in 2 weeks! These could also be great gifts for your groomsmen. What guy wouldn't like a pair of personalized, customized Nike sneakers?!

Instead of having the Nike brand name on the back of the shoes, we could have put any name in it's place.

The best part is, I can sooo see him wearing these again and again after wedding day.

"Lets Get Married" Shoes

Welp, I did it again. Bought another pair of shoes, but in my defense, I bought 3 different pairs of shoes and still spent less that $100! This is it though, I swear!

Presenting my current "Lets Get Married" shoe....

It's red, peeptoe, cute and less than 4 inches high! Perfect. No more looking for shoes. Seriously.

I'm overreacting about shoes.

I'm having a shoe dilemma. Which is actually kinda funny since it only took me 5 minutes to find a wedding dress I like, but it's taking me MONTHS to find 1 pair of shoes. I wanted a pair of fun, funky, red shoes. Preferably peep toe. Here were some shoes that inspired me:

These are really starting to grow on me. source

I bought these wedges, mainly thinking that if they didn't work with my dress, I could still rock them with a cute pair of jeans. Welp, with jeans it will have to be. Not only are they a cream color (too yellowish to go with my dress) they are also made of a canvas material. Still super cute shoes though!

I also bought these; which are my current contender for our wedding ceremony.
My Dilemma: while they are super cute, they are also 4 inches high, so they super hurt. Plus, my ceremony is on grass so I'm quite concerned about the stiletto heel. Although I guess I could use heel stopper to prevent from sinking into the grass. I guess I'm just not 100% on them.

I did purchase comfy Colin Stuart slippers to change into after the ceremony. They are 3.25 inches high. They were the closest ones I could find to 4 inches.

I got the red ones! source

Do I suck it up and live with the ones I got, or do I find new shoes that maybe have a heel closer to the slipper's heel height and a thicker heel? Suggestions?
